Club Service

It is very easy to overlook the work of the Club Service committee. Our Houseman and the Riverside Hotel staff meet regularly to discuss the menu for our meetings.

We are very fortunate to have an air conditioned function room to ourselves at the Riverside. We are not disturbed during our meetings (and more importantly we do not disturb other diners) and guest speakers can use audio and visual aids during their presentations.

Vocational and International matters are also dealt with by the Club Service committee which keeps us very busy during our monthly meeting.

The programme and guest speakers are organised well in advance and we try to maintain a balance of charity speakers, other guest speakers and when we can we try to get out and about in the local community.

We have a very well supported Ladies Night and Friends and Family evening each year which the Club Service committee organises. These events along with other regular organised excursions ensure club members are kept entertained and gives us the opportunity to attract new members.
